Students tap each stone the animal lands on when counting by 2s, 5s, or 10s, and the animal dashes across to confirm the sequence. Marking the pattern themselves before seeing the animation makes the regularity of skip counting active and memorable.
Skip counting by 2s, 5s, and 10s is the on-ramp to multiplication tables. Identifying every multiple of a given number trains rhythmic counting and lays the conceptual groundwork for understanding multiplication as repeated addition along a structured sequence.
